This shouldn’t be a post, but here we are.

AI is in EVERYTHING these days, and it sucks. It’s almost impossible to avoid AI, especially on social media. I know that there’ll always be some “AI,” but I think generative AI is the worst. You see the slop that it produces. It’s awful, it cheapens creativity, and it makes it hard for independent authors such as myself to get more visibility for our original works.

I’ve seen some readers demand that authors put a statement on their social media profiles/bios and sites if they used AI. I even had someone demand that I do it. I find that demand to be extremely insulting. I’ve been writing professionally since 1998, so I have no need for AI. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t use AI. It took me 10 (yes, TEN) years to write my debut novel, Us Against Them. Hopefully, the rest of my catalog won’t take as long (I’m working a lot faster on A Collection of Nightmares, thankfully!).

I hope making this post will be it, and I don’t have to talk about it again. I obviously do not use AI. I will not use AI. I have thousands of ideas stored in my brain. I spend hours every day working on my writing projects. I do have small errors in all of my published books because I’M A HUMAN! I honestly would rather have these small errors in my books than ever use AI!
